Willene Carol Yohn RACINE – Willene Carol Yohn, age 80, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan Home and Hospice. Willene was born to the late Wilford Rice and Leona (Reide) Aubrey on January 4, 1934 in Waukegan, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Leonard Yohn on June 30, 1951 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Racine. For 40 years she worked as a book binder at Western Publishing. Willene was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was also an avid gardener and cook, who was always trying out new recipes. Surviving are her husband: Gilbert Yohn; son: Scott (Trudy) Yohn; two daughters: Gail (Gary) McCauley and Dawn (Jeff) Loken; nine grandchildren: Jason (Amberlyn), Nicole (D.J.), Heather (Dave), Tarah (Bryan), Krystal (Kevin), Jerrod (Dana), Brandon (Mara), David, and Craig; sixteen great-grandchildren: Scott, Nicholas, Cameron, Ethan, Hunter, Alex, Alyssa, Tanner, Alyson, Brooklyn, Lucy, Kaia, Gavin, Baylee, Brayden, and the soon to be born Emmitt; sister: Bridget (Dick) Mumaw; cousin: Gloria (Wally) Bowman; and a very special friend: Kathy (Dave) Bohn. She is preceded in death by her step-father: Clayton Aubrey; two brothers: Ronald and Dennis Rice; sister: Donna Olson; great-grandson: Jordan Beal; and relatives and friends too numerous to name. One of her favorite quotations, Willene always had this to say to her family: “I love you’s all around the moon and back again!” The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rayani and the staff at the Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center, the Wheaton Franciscan Hospice nurses, the nurses on the third floor, and Dr. Michaelis and the staff at Froedtert Cancer Center for all their compassionate and thoughtful care.
