Esta Ethel Larrabee

Racine—Esta Ethel Larrabee, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 17, 2014. Esta was born in Milbank, South Dakota to the late Floyd and Jessie (nee: West) Trupe on July 28, 1925. She was united in marriage to Raymond L. Larrabee on November 13, 1948 in Viroqua and lived in Racine for most of her life. Esta was a member of the Church of The Nazarene, where she was involved with teaching Sunday school, and also helped in the nursery. She enjoyed making quilts, embroidery, sewing for her children and grandchildren, baking, gardening, and vacationing at the cabin in Menomonie, WI. Esta will be dearly missed by her brother: Donald Tupe; sister-in-laws: Cathy Trupe, Heida Trupe; stepbrother: Raymond Karpen; stepsister: Shirley Benson; sons: Dennis Larrabee, Jefferey Larrabee, Timothy (Norma) Larrabee; daughter: Nancy (Todd) Davis; grandchildren: Tamara Larrabee, Sean Larrabee, Justin Larrabee, Jessica (Seth) VandeLeest, Brandon Davis, Lindsey Davis, Eric Davis; great-grandchildren: Samantha Vetter, Jaquelyn Vetter, Serena Vetter, Jordan Larrabee, Emily Larrabee, Alison Larrabee, Melody Larrabee, Jacob VandeLeest and Riley VandeLeest. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Larrabee; father: Flolyd Trupe; mother: Jessie (West) Trupe; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harold (Nettie) Larrabee; sister: Irene Boleen; brothers: Larry Trupe, Allen Trupe, Edwin Trupe, James Trupe and Myron Trupe; brother-in-laws: Stan Boleen and Clyde Chisholm; stepbrothers: Joe Karpen, Merlin Karpen; stepsister: Patricia Karpen; stepmother: Eileen (Karpen) Trupe. Funeral Service in honor of Mrs. Larrabee will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rich Doering and Pastor Jon Nelson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A funeral service will also be held at the Forest Center Church of the Nazarene, E7112 270th Ave Menomonie, WI 54751 on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held at church from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held at the Forest Center Cemetery in Menomonie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
