Dean Cris Andersen

Racine - Dean Cris Andersen, 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, February 24, 2025. Dean was born on January 4, 1958, in Racine, to the late Victor H. Andersen and Elaine M. Kirk. He married Carrie Louise Burbey on April 23, 2002. Dean’s life was defined by his dedication to his family, faith, and work. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Dean worked as a professional painter, founding his own company, Dean’s Decorating. He also worked at Home Depot and Andersen Painting for many years. He was known for his craftsmanship, and his work reflected his care and attention to detail. Dean was also an active member of the Racine Bible Church, where he served as an usher and enjoyed winding the church’s clocks. In addition to his work and church involvement, Dean had a deep love for cars, animals, and clocks, passions that brought him much joy throughout his life. He also cherished his family and loved spending time with them, particularly enjoying the outdoors and playing horseshoes with his father. Dean’s memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Carrie Andersen; children, Jessica (Scott) West, Cris (Angie) Andersen, Peter (Jill) Humphrey, Gregory Humphrey, and Andrew (Jane) Andersen; grandchildren, Joslyn, Malachi, Olivia, Jackson, Lemuel, Hattie, and Claire; siblings, Daryl (Charmaine) Andersen, Kirk (Tean) Andersen, and D'ann Barton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Andersen; brother-in-law, Richard Barton; and sister-in-law, Mary Andersen. A celebration of Dean’s life will be held at Racine Bible Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Dean's final resting place will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice and the Racine Bible Church family for the care they provided during Dean’s final days.
