Beverly Ann Trobaugh

Beverly Ann Trobaugh (nee Hetland), 94, of Racine, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Beverly was born on October 3, 1931, in Racine, the daughter of the late Adolph and Farrol (née Smith) Hetland. She was united in marriage to Joe Trobaugh on April 29, 1950, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Together, Beverly and Joe shared many wonderful years before his passing on October 16, 1996. Beverly was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She found joy in making vintage dolls, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. Beverly had a special love for dance and music and was affectionately known as “the dancing queen.” Her joyful spirit, love of life, and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Beverly will be dearly missed by her children, Deborah (Rick) Petkus, Cynthia Hernandez, and Jeffrey Trobaugh; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Kellner, Christopher (Cheri) Petkus, Leslie (Roger) Lofquist, Jonathan Trobaugh, and Kevin (Sandi) Trobaugh; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Haigh, Taylor Vernon, Kayla (Kyle) Schulz, Josie (Jake) Blazei, Jackie Kellner, Jack Lofquist, Alex Lofquist, Julia Kellner, Madison Trobaugh, Ivy Trobaugh, Isabella Petkus, and Alicia Petkus; great-great-grandchildren, Leighton Schulz and TJ Blazei; sisters, Shirley Dedeyne and Lois Gagliano; brothers, Jim Hetland, Jack (Joan) Hetland, and Bill (Cyndy) Hetland; sisters-in-law, Donna Hetland and Fran Hetland; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; brothers, Donald (Irene) Hetland, Bob Hetland, Vilas (Agnes) Hetland, Dick (Arlene) Hetland, Ken (Shirley) Hetland and Tom Hetland; brothers-in-law, Dick Dedeyne and Joe Gagliano; and sisters-in-law, Charlene (Ed) Wojcik and Sharon Hetland. Beverly leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, music, and cherished family memories. Her dancing spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Private services for family only will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or School.
