Lynn Margaret Johnson

Lynn Margaret Johnson, 72, of Racine, WI, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family, after a courageous six-year battle with dementia. Born on May 11, 1952, to William and Claudine (nee Kerth) Miller, Lynn grew up in Racine and graduated from Saint Catherine's High School in 1970. On November 8, 1975, she married her soulmate, Randall W. Johnson, at St. John Nepomuk Church, beginning a beautiful 50-year journey together filled with love, devotion, and shared memories. Lynn was a woman of grace, warmth, and generosity, especially toward her family. She dedicated many years as a stay-at-home mother, lovingly raising her three children, Dennis, Greg, and Rachel. Known for her nurturing spirit, Lynn was a cherished volunteer at the school library, where her home-baked treats and kind nature won the hearts of all the children. Later, she worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Neurological Clinic in Racine, where she was appreciated for her hard work and caring demeanor. A lover of nature, Lynn found peace and joy in her garden, where her green thumb brought beauty to her home. She delighted in nurturing both flowers and vegetables, finding solace and fulfillment in the earth’s simple gifts. Lynn’s love for the outdoors extended to their family land "up north," where she spent many happy days fishing, boating, and relaxing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. In addition to her love for family, Lynn had a passion for bowling, enjoying league nights with her husband and friends. Her sense of humor and loving spirit were felt by everyone who knew her. Lynn’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were a constant source of happiness in her life. Her family was everything to her, and her love for them was boundless. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Randy Johnson, children Dennis (Sarah) Johnson, Greg (Lisa) Johnson, and Rachel (Grant Tilot) Johnson, and grandchildren Brian McCarthey, Abbie Johnson, Connor Johnson, Kaleb (Bubba) Johnson, Leah Johnson, DJ Johnson, Jaiden Johnson, Mikey Freuck, Julie Freuck, and Ashley Freuck. Also surviving are her sisters, Kay (Rich) McConville and Ann Cox, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Claudine Miller; brother, Charles Miller; and sisters, Ruth Bartek and Margaret Dahlem, as well as other beloved family members. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Horizon Hospice Care staff, Dr. Gullberg, NP Sarah Eilers, and their dedicated teams for their compassionate care and unwavering support. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Lynn’s honor, recognizing the struggle she faced with dementia and in hope of furthering research toward a cure. Lynn’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a remarkable woman who touched so many lives and will be dearly missed.
