Cynthia Béchette Weiland

Cynthia Béchette Weiland Racine - Cynthia Béchette Weiland, 26, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2014 after a brave, 35 day battle with leukemia complications where she has gone to be with her grandparents, Carmel Poisson, Gérald Tessier and Adélard and Berthe Poisson, who we knew were waiting for her with open arms. Cynthia was born to Gilles Béchette and Johanne Tessier on October 11, 1988 in Sherbrooke, Québec and grew up in Valcourt, Québec before she moved to Racine with her family in 2002. She graduated from Washington Park High School and started college at UW-Parkside where she met her would-be husband. Cynthia followed him to UW-Platteville and became the first in her family to complete a bachelor’s degree. She graduated in 2010 with a business and marketing degree. Cynthia pursued a career with BRP US Inc. and was a devoted regional sales support person for Canadian Outboard Dealers. On November 26, 2011, she married her beloved would-be husband, Michael Weiland. Cynthia was very devoted to her family, starting her own with Mike by having two sweet boys who meant the world to her. She was a giving and caring person and always had a smile on her face to accompany her beautiful Canadian accent. She loved lots and lots of real Canadian maple syrup and appreciated cooking and baking. She was the “Best Babysitter in Town”. Cynthia traveled to learn about the world especially in Europe and Scandinavia. She liked to rouse her husband while they watched Packer games. Cynthia enjoyed her visits to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes to ride ATVs and her shopping time. The best thing about Cynthia was that she was a very loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Cynthia will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael Weiland and their sons, Bently and Mason; her parents, Gilles Béchette and Johanne Tessier; brother and sisters, Jonathan (Marie-Hélène Rhéaume), Audrey (Brandon Gauntt) and Stéphanie; godparents, Sylvain Tessier and Marie-Chantal Samson; grandparents, Marcel and Suzanne Béchette; niece, Emma; aunt and uncle, Ramona and Tony Forman; cousin, Anthony; and Grandma Bruns. She is also survived many more uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Cynthia’s life will be celebrated first by visitation on Friday evening, November 21, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home. On Saturday, November 22nd, 2014 a second visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. 6th Street, Racine, Wisconsin 53405. A ceremony with Pastor Mark Doidge will start at 10:00 AM followed by a committal service at West Lawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeracine.com.
